As human's , we are naturally curious, as kids it was always a buzz to find an abandoned building to explore, so as adults we’re bound to be fascinated by any areas we’re not supposed to go, finding a derelict building which looks like nobody has been in for years, a sign on the fence saying keep out ? well that natural curiosity becomes too much, I want to know what lies behind those walls.
Being somewhere others tell us we’re forbidden from being presents its own allure – but also involves some levels of risk, some places you might be able to walk straight in, others might involve climbing, getting past fencing, cctv,  avoiding security etc, it is essentially civil trespass in the UK ,and if found, the police will likely escort you out and send you on your way after a few checks, as long as you have not caused any damage of broken in which is obviously a no no - all good clean fun right ?

At feels strange to be in Abandoned places, once the rush of getting in has passed, No matter whether they've been closed a short while or decades, each building if from a different time and has been left behind. it's like stepping back in time, or standing in a time warp. Everything that remains had a purpose in that place but if now no longer needed, i find the way buildings decay aesthetically pleasing, hence the photography side of it, i probably enjoy the photography as much as finding a way in and exploring these places.

I enjoy seeing all kinds of places, old abandoned asylums, hospitals, disused power stations, theatres, derelict industry etc. I'm also happy to head underground to tunnels, sewers and bunkers although these are  less frequent.

Others are driven more by accessing high profile, often live sites, rooftopping big landmark buildings, live subway networks etc, i have great respect for these people, the time, effort and skills involved, plus the heightened risk. However for me it's more about the decay, photography and spending time with friends.

I hope you enjoy the images on the site, please feel free to contact me about anything you see here - please remember all images are subject to copyright and are not to be copied and used without my permission.
